Immediately below this introduction you find the collective C.V. of the Kuru artists: a selection of the group exhibitions and of the workshops various painters participated in.

You'll find short biographies of the 17 Kuru artists by clicking on one of the portraits on the left, where the Africaserver presents of each of the painters a couple of graphic works of art. The number of artists presented in this section includes the deceased ones. Hence the difference with the 14 artists participating with an oil painting in the virtual exhibition proper.

During the production of this exhibition Sobe Sobe died. He is included with an oil painting. Nearly all painters use an artist name (some even two) which is mentioned first on the page. Between brackets the family name is given. All artists belong to the Kuru group in D'Kar in the Kalahari of Botswana. Many artists are represented with their work in the National Museum and Art Gallery in Gaborone, in museums abroad as well as in private collections.
