Third International Policy and Expert Meetingon November 22nd 2006: Entrepreneurial Decisions across Borders - Savings, Remittances and Investments, and migrant household decisions .
 
Every two years IntEnt organizes the International Policy and Experts’ Meetings to discuss the latest lessons learned and formulate best practices on Enterprising across Borders by migrants. Through these meetings, IntEnt aims to stimulate the debate and introduce issues in a thought provoking manner to experts and policy makers in the field of Migration, Entrepreneurship and Development. The theme for the third International Policy and Expert Meeting is “ Entrepreneurial decisions across borders ; Savings, Remittances and Investments and Migrant household decisions ”. We are proud to count with a very interesting pool of speakers and workshop facilitators to share their views and experiences.

Key-note speakers:

Remittances compete with the dream of an enterprise” - speaker: Dr. Manuel Orozco of the InterAmerican Dialogue, Washington DC.
“Gender differences in remitting, saving and investing” -speaker: Dr. Valentina Mazzucato, Head of Ghana TransNet Program of the University of Amsterdam.
“Investment in the country of origin and the effect on development” - speaker: Prof. Dr. Bimal Ghosh , senior consultant to the UNDP and the IOM on migration and development
