CRG seminar: Wilderness, hybridity, livelihoods: Contestations over the Cape Leopard in the Cederberg Mountains, Western Cape

Donderdag 24 Oktober 2019, 15:30 - 17:00

The concept of hybrid spaces, in which human and non-human animals share space, is an attractive one in theory but may be a challenging one to put into practice particularly where large predators are involved. This paper focuses on the relationship between humans and felids (in this case, the Cape Mountain Leopard) in a specific spatial context, that of the mountainous region of the Cederberg in South Africa’s Western Cape province.

This seminar is organised by the CRG Trans-species perspectives on African Studies
