Afrosideral brengt een mystieke schittering met zich mee op 23 februari in PAARD. De Afro-Cubaanse multi-instrumentalist combineert melodieuze rap en hypnotiserende drums en stuurt je een tijdloze trance in. Als vakman van het woord wordt zijn muziek zorgvuldig gemaakt en op smaak gebracht met zowel oude als moderne instrumenten, beïnvloed door Afrojazz, Dub, Experimentele Muziek, alles onder de paraplu van Afro-Cubaanse muziek. Zijn optreden is een golf van energie; alsof hij bezeten is door de drums, improviseert en danst hij terwijl hij anderen laat dansen.

The Cool Festival brings a lineup featuring the best of funk, soul, afrobeat, jazz and hiphop. With, among others, Les Amazones d’Afrique, formed in Bamako, Mali, in 2014 by three renowned Malian music stars and social change activists, Mamani Keïta, Oumou Sangaré and Mariam Doumbia. And with Raql, from Brussels and with Cape Verdean, Portuguese and Angolan origins.
