Rules of War is a report of the spectacular journey through the South Sudanese jungle by former diplomat and military expert Albert Schoneveld (50), who will teach war ethics on behalf of the Red Cross to rebel groups. On the one hand, the film shows how a Western ideal finds its way into the unruly African reality. On the other hand, it is a social deconstruction of a metaphorical encounter between two worlds. A clash between the west and Africa. Between white and black. Between a colonial history and a post-colonial perception. The film will be introduced by an expert. In cooperation with Lumière Cinema.
