This year, our friends from ๐๐ณ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ focus on the ๐ฑ๐ฌ๐๐ต ๐ฎ๐ป๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ of five African countries โ ๐๐ป๐ด๐ผ๐น๐ฎ, ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฏ๐ถ๐พ๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฒ, ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ผ ๐ง๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ & ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฒ and the ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ โ as well as ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ. During the festival, they will reflect on the ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ-๐ฐ๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ฟ๐๐ด๐ด๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ in these countries to resist and overthrow colonial rule throughout the 20th century and until the present day. Apart from an ๐ผ๐ป-๐น๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ, they also offer a free, ๐ผ๐ป๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ถ๐น๐บ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ, facilitated by us through our ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฒ from ๐ฎ๐ญ-๐ฏ๐ญ ๐ ๐ฎ๐!

Hoe hebben kunstenaars uit Afrika en haar diaspora het dagelijks leven in de afgelopen eeuw afgebeeld? Koyo Kouoh, directeur en hoofdcurator van Zeitz MOCAA in Kaapstad, en haar team hebben deze vraag proberen te beantwoorden met een baanbrekende tentoonstelling. Bozar presenteert met trots deze caleidoscoop van pan-Afrikaanse figuratieve schilderkunst van de jaren 1920 tot heden.
