Professor Ton Dietz, director of the African Studies Centre Leiden, will be retiring on 1 September 2017. He will give his valedictory lecture Africa: Still a silver lining? on the development of Africa on Monday 25 September. You are very welcome to attend, however, there are no more seats available in the lecture hall. You can watch the lecture via a TV screen in an adjacent room.
