Missy slagge? (Mission accomplished?) is a road movie in which Frisian historian and filmmaker Anne van Slageren returns to Cameroon, together with his father and sister. Fifty years ago his father left the Netherlands to work there as a reverend from 1963 to 1973. Together with Cameroonian Jean Martin, who lived with them at the time, they return to the places where they once lived. Encounters with several people in Cameroon, old photos and comments in the letters of the mother (she died in 1989) show that the mission may have been accomplished. But not in the way they intended it to be. Film maker Anne van Slageren will be present at the screening. Please register
